How to Get Rid of Urinary Tract Infection - Treat a Uti Naturally

For many years, I wondered just how to get rid of urinary tract infection. My first experience of this painful condition was in my late teens and from then, until a couple of years ago, I have had more doses of antibiotics than I care to remember.

Very often, I would have a course of antibiotics for a few days, only to find that they hadn't done the job and had to return for a further prescription. At one point, I was put on a low-dose antibiotic for 6 months to see if that would help (it didn't!). In fact it would be fair to say that at times, it really felt that my life was being ruined. I had friends who had suffered from supposed urinary tract infections and they were still functioning normally! For me, I could not work or even go about my everyday duties because the pain was so severe. At the time, I didn't link the two, but a friend pointed out that each infection I had seemed to be worse than the last and that this was with taking antibiotics! Could there be a relationship between the two?

With the antibiotics came other side effects. I regularly got yeast infections, stomach upsets and felt sick. I just wish I'd known then how to get rid of urinary tract infection without using medication!

I had already developed "coping strategies" over the years which would help give me a little pain relief and on the rare occasions when the infection was mild, I could sometimes stop it from developing into a full blown attack.

My Coping Strategies For urinary Tract Infection

* Drink plenty of water-around 6-8 glasses a day is recommended

* Drink 2 glasses of unsweetened cranberry juice daily

* Put a hot water bottle on the abdomen

* Avoid using any perfumed products near the vaginal area

* Sit in a bath of warm water (no soaps). This is my number one tip if you are in extreme pain although it goes against general advice to take showers. If you are desperate, it does work!

* Avoid eating products laden with sugar as this can "feed" the bacteria and help it grow quickly

* Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and take a vitamin C capsule daily. This will help strengthen the immune system helping the body to treat UTI symptoms naturally

Although my coping strategies may be enough to ward off a mild UTI, if the pain has persisted for over 24 hours or if it is severe, you should consider immediate treatment as if left, the infection could easily migrate to the kidneys, causing a potentially dangerous kidney infection.

I suppose like a lot of people nowadays, I turned to the internet for help. I found various supposed treatments all of which claimed they would show me how to get rid of urinary tract infection. However, I was put off some of them as they looked rather complicated, with lots of "ingredients" and various steps to take.

I came across one treatment which looked great but to be honest, I was so desperate that I would have tried almost anything. I rather sceptically decided to go for it, and in the back of my mind was the fact that it came with a full money back guarantee if it didn't work. However, the results astounded me. If you are prepared to invest a little time and effort into your own treatment rather than expecting to just take a tablet, you can very easily learn how to get rid of urinary tract infection by using natural methods. The method which I discovered uses just one simple, tasteless ingredient which can give almost instant pain relief, (my pain started to go in just a few minutes) with most people finding that the pain has been eliminated completely by the following day. It is suitable for both children and adults and is completely safe for the elderly and pregnant women. It can also be taken alongside any other medications, if completely natural and has no side effects. If you would like to see how to get rid of urinary tract infection, check out UTI Be Gone.
